MACHINE DUELING PUTTERS

Now you can settle your disagreements the civilized way, without having to resort to shooting your friends or business colleagues in the process. MACHINE Sports is creating brilliant sets of “Duel-ing Putters” to make settling negotiations or arguments in a fun, (legal) and much less brutal way.

Designed by local legendary golf designer Dave Billings, these luxurious, showcase putters employ the designer’s and company’s patented fitting systems that allow these putters to be precisely dialed in for the owner and his or her adversary, no matter their stature or worthiness.

Covered by one or more US Utility Patents (issued and pending) invented by founder and president David P. Billings.

  • Can convert from standard position to Armlock
  • Can customize the offset without changing the shaft angle
  • Can adjust loft and lie together or separate  from lower Delta Mod
  • Open system, with or without Delta Mods
  • Mixed materials for weight and balance variables.

TIMELINE

SEPTEMBER 2024: Launch campaign
APRIL 2023: Use prototypes/samples for performance feedback from professionals and a small player test panel
MAY 2023: Close campaign and submit final specifications/quantities for manufacturing of initial production run

MACHINE Starter is in the process of changing the way golfers can purchase equipment.
Risks and challenges
This is our second crowd funding project, having successfully manufactured and delivered all the products in the first launch.  We have extensive experience bringing golf products to market. Over the last 27+ years, we have dealt with a wide range of issues in the golf industry and have successfully navigated many different types of challenges. We are committed to making the very best products available anywhere and fulfilling your orders in a timely manner, so you can enjoy them for years to come.

Some potential issues include:

Supply chain delivery issues (primarily components)-
Ramping up capacity has many moving parts. We have selected a group of suppliers that have proven track records in the golf industry. However, it is to be expected that improvements in process and efficiency will need to be made as we transition from prototype quantities to higher volumes.

Acts of God or events that are outside our control-
Delays from transportation strikes or problems due to extreme weather conditions are examples that are certainly in the realm of possibility. We have added some buffer time into our schedule. However, it’s possible that we encounter something that could impact delivery dates.
If there is an issue that will impact you (our backers), we promise to keep you informed on status and do whatever it takes to solve the problem in the best way possible.

FAQ

1. DOES the MACHINE X-CHANGER fit other manufacturer’s putters ?
No.  This system is designed for MACHINE putters and the MACHINE family of putters.
2. What are shaft and grip options?
Standard diameter steel and graphite putter shafts are available as well as our new wide body MACHINE’D HOG shafts will be available in limited custom length options as well as limited grip options.
3. Does this system work with early models of MACHINE putters?
Yes. In most cases the system works with our modular hosel system.  Contact us for specific details.
4. Any other custom options available for this new technology?
Yes. There are limited custom options for this technology including custom anodized colors for upper connectors.  Please email us with additional custom requests for a quote.
5. Does Machine Starter take trade-ins?
Yes. We use the PGA Value Guide to assess value. Please plug in your putter and contact us on how to arrange trade-in.
